Located in the Crown Center District, Union Station Kansas City is a beautifully restored, historical and fully working train station that dates back to 1914 and is home to the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, Science City, the Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre, and several other educational and engaging attractions. The second-largest working train station in the country with several Amtrak trains arriving and departing every day, the refurbished station also hosts a variety of world-class permanent and traveling exhibitions, educational programs, theater shows, restaurants, and shops, as well as attractions such as the Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity, and the Irish Museum and Cultural Center.
