Dinky Bar and Kitchen is a rustic American-style restaurant and bar located across from Princeton University's McCarter Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, housed within the former historic 1918 Princeton train branch station of the Northeast Corridor Line. The restaurant, which is named in honor of the 1963 "Great Dinky Robbery," has converted the historic passenger building into a charming gastropub, focusing on an extensive craft beer and cocktail and small-production wine program. Diners can enjoy a carefully-curated selection of land, sea, and vegetarian entrees, ranging from decadent delicacies such as buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches to globally-influenced fare such as sticky miso chicken wings and veggie burgers with pomegranate salsa and mole. Clever bar bites and shareable appetizers are also served up, including honey butter cashews, fried brussels sprouts, and soft pretzels served with beer pecorino dip.
