Review:

Black Coffee and Waffle Bar is a hip cafe microchain founded in 2013 by Andrew Ply and Brad Cimaglio, serving up high-quality coffee beverages and gourmet waffles. The chain, which began as a transformation of Minneapolis' former Muddsuckers coffee shop, operates three locations across the United States today, including a location opened in Fargo in 2019. Coffee is provided by regional Minneapolis roasters Vitality Roasting, served up in excellent macchiatos, mochas, lattes, and nitro cold brew beverages. Diners can also enjoy teas from Tea Source, chai from Gray Duck, and a variety of steamers and hot chocolate beverages. Sweet and savory waffle concoctions such as the Dakota Luau, which is topped with pulled pork, pineapple salsa, and honey barbecue glaze, are available traditional or gluten-free.
