Review:

Formerly known as the Paseo de la Revolución, the Malecon is a seaside promenade that stretches for approximately 11 blocks through the downtown core of Puerto Vallarta. More than 80% of the Malecón is completely reserved for pedestrians, so visitors can stroll along and take in the sights without having to worry about the traffic. The view of the ocean is enough to make the Malecón worth a visit, but there are plenty of appealing shops, restaurants, local vendors, and bars as well. The space is decorated with local artwork, including sand sculptures, regular sculptures, and intricate Huichol motifs on the ground.
