The Plains Art Museum is a museum dedicated to regional art, including Native American, contemporary, and folk art. The museum features several ongoing exhibits as well as space for temporary exhibitions. Some examples of art exhibits include an International Harvester photography exhibit and The North Dakota Mural.
The art museum offers a range of programming and educational events as well as rental space for private events and parties. The museum is home to the Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity, which is a community education facility offering classes as well as studio and exhibition space for community members. The Plains Art Museum features a museum store that sells unique handcrafted items, souvenirs and more.
