In 2008 the original Children’s Theatre of Maine (established in 1923) merged with the Children’s Museum of Maine to become one of the best facilities of its kind in the country.

The museum is filled with exciting exhibits that your children will love, all designed to encourage learning through fun interactive activities. There are 3 floors of indoor activities to explore and an Outdoor Adventure section. The Children’s Theatre (now called Maddy’s Theatre) hosts a full calendar of excellent shows for children and their families and will be celebrating 100 years of Children’s Theater between June 2023 and May 2024.
