Burton Island is located in the ‘Inland Sea’ of Lake Champlain; it is a state park made up of over 250 acres that is reachable only by boat via a 10-minute ferry ride from Kamp Kill Kare State Park. There are tent sites, lean-to sites, and cabins for guests on overnight stays as well as an array of island activities.
With 3 miles of shoreline, water activities like row-boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming are abundant. Several hiking trails, a nature center/museum, and park interpreter activities are also available. Interpreter activities led by park staff include night hikes, campfire programs, and nature games.
