The Lake George Historical Association and Museum is housed in the Historic 1845 Warren County Courthouse, which was saved from the wrecker’s ball by the Lake George Historical Association in the early 1960’s. Since then this gracious old building has been given a new lease of life; it is now the headquarters of the Historical Association and a showcase for the many artefacts which form the core of the Museum’s permanent collection. Visitors are invited to stop by and learn some of the interesting history of the area. The Museum has several fascinating permanent exhibits and private guided tours are available on request.
