Founded in 1960, the Branford Historical Society passionately preserves and showcases the town’s unique history through the Harrison House Museum. As visitors step into Harrison House, they are transported into another world with several of the home’s 250-year-old features still intact. Originally built in 1724 by Nathaniel Harrison, the house remains in good condition thanks to an architectural historian who purchased and restored it in 1938. One of the rooms in Harrison House is home to a museum of artifacts, memorabilia, and archives surrounding Branford’s origins. The house is surrounded with two acres of beautiful land which includes a historic barn and colorful garden.
