The wilderness area comprises 181,535 acres and has over 100 miles of trails within its boundaries. Maroon Bells is such a beautiful and scenic area, no matter what time of the year you find yourself there. Hike through the breathtaking glacial valley as 14,000-foot-high mountains tower around you and vast fields of wildflowers lay ahead of you. It’s an extremely popular camping site because of the surroundings it offers; there are no showers or RV hookups at any of the sites.
