Rainbow Trout Ranch lets guests travel back in time to a family dude ranch in the heart of the old Wild West. The Great Lodge dates back to the early 1920s and is made from Engelmann Spruce. At its time, it was the largest log structure and it covers 18,000 square feet. All cabins have two or three bedrooms, living areas, fireplaces, private bathrooms, daily housekeeping, comfortable bedding, and front porches.

While staying at the ranch, enjoy horseback riding, fly fishing, programs for teens and children, swimming, day trips, trapshooting, whitewater rafting, and the longest and highest narrow-gauge steam train in the country. The ranch raises horses and the ranch is also competitive team-ropers so you can count on them to deliver a superb riding experience. When you arrive at Rainbow Trout Ranch on Sunday afternoon, the owners greet you and take you to your cabin and you will continue to interact with them throughout your stay. Relax in the lodge’s spacious common areas by the double-sided fireplace or visit the library. Get essentials at the Trading Post. Get more active with volleyball, basketball, or swimming in the heated pool. There is also a hot tub and lazy rocking chairs on the lodge’s front porch. Enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, snacks, and fruit at any time of the day.
