The Rio Pacuare (Pacuare River) is a 67-mile river that is home to a wide diversity of fauna and flora and is a popular location for white-water rafting, whitewater kayaking, and river-boarding. The rainforests surrounding the river teem with wildlife and birds, including jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, and numerous species of birds. Several companies offer white-water rafting trips on the river, traveling down 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater featuring lush tropical rainforests, cascading waterfalls, exotic fauna and flora, and exhilarating rapids for all levels of rafter and kayaker.
