The beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines was built and is decorated in American Craftsman style, a design movement centered on handwork, simplicity, and use of local natural materials. Its rooms and suites feature custom-made furniture, and use fine fabrics and carpeting. All rooms have sumptuous beds decked in Egyptian cotton linens and quilted duvets, marble and granite bathrooms, safes large enough for laptop computers, Bose stereos, data hookups, and complimentary wireless internet. Most rooms overlook the Torrey Pines golf course and the Pacific Ocean.
The Gamble Suite is the largest in the Lodge. Its 2,500 square feet includes a Presidential Parlor, private balconies, a full kitchen, two fireplaces, and two bedrooms, one with a king bed, and the other with two queen beds. The bathrooms have double vanities, a walk-in shower, and an oversized tub. Large working areas make the rooms ideal for business guests as well as vacationers. The Blacker Suite has the same amenities as The Gamble Suite, but is a little smaller, at 2,000 square feet.
The Thorsen Suite overlooks the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course, and is 800 square feet. In its living room is a huge fireplace, and there is another fireplace on the balcony. Its bedroom has a king bed, its bathroom has a Jacuzzi, a fireplace, and a sofa, and the suite has a mini-bar and a small fridge.
The Robinson Suite has walk-out access to the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course, and is 900 square feet. There is an oversized fireplace in the living room, a bedroom with a king bed, and a large bathroom. The Palisade Suite overlooks the 18th hole of the golf course, has a private balcony, and is configured like The Robinson Suite.
The Palisade Rooms have views of the golf course and of the ocean. Most of these 600 square foot rooms have balconies, and are set up with two queen or one king bed. Reserve Rooms overlook the Lodge’s courtyard, have a balcony or patio, a king bed, and are 530-550 square feet. Signature Rooms are 470-520 square feet, with one king or two queen bed; these rooms have a balcony or a patio overlooking the courtyard.
