The 400-acre Agua Hedionda Lagoon is home to a wide variety of locally endemic and indigenous flora and fauna. In order to protect them and showcase their diversity, the Discovery Center aims to educate and inspire the next generation to ensure the continued protection of this important watershed. This is accomplished by offering access to fun inter-active activities including a petting pool, an archaeological dig, a bee aquarium, aquaponics and a marshland trail suitable for all ages. In addition you can explore the interesting Butterfly Corner, Reptile City, Sanders Pond and Fairyland. A visit to the center is a great way to combine education and family fun.
