Review:
Moonstone Beach County Park is on the north side of the Little River delta close to Trinidad. This tends to be a surfing beach, but it is also family-friendly as children can play safely in the river's slow current. This beach is quite photogenic with large sea stacks and rocks protruding out of the surf.
The most prominent is Camel Rock, a massive, two-humped rock island north of the beach. There are various activities offered at this beach, including sea kayaking, swimming, tide pooling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and beachcombing. There are also a few hidden caves on the northern end of the beach that are worth exploring.
