Review:

Convivo Restaurant is an upscale Italian-style restaurant that has been acclaimed by Zagat, The New York Times, Via Magazine, and L.A. Weekly as one of Santa Barbara's best fine dining experiences. The restaurant, which is owned by California dining industry luminary Larry Mindel and helmed by executive chef Peter McNee, serves up "nomad-style" coastal Italian fare infused with global influences, prepared with locally-sourced, fresh seasonal ingredients. Lunch and dinner menus focus on delectable land and sea entrees and housemade pastas, including charcoal prawns, beef carpaccio, and seven-hour veal bolognese guinzaglio. Family-style main courses are also available, along with wood-oven-fired pizzas and flatbreads. An extensive wine list is available by the bottle, with apertivi and craft beers also served.
