The Rowland Freedom Center is Vacaville’s Aviation and Military Museum, located at the Nut Tree Airport. The center is dedicated to honoring all those who defend our freedom and to educated younger visitors about their freedom and their need to be patriotic citizens. The museum exhibits a variety of interesting vintage aircraft, all of which can still fly. The vintage planes are regularly rotated so that there is always something interesting on show. Several of the planes saw service during WWII and the Pacific War and the collection includes the original 1912 Gonzales No. 1 Tractor Biplane, the first plane ever built in California.
