Dedicated to the advancement of ocean conservation, the Noyo Center for Marine Science is passionate about educating its visitors and allowing them to explore the world beneath the waters. Located in the very heart of the city’s historic Fort Bragg, the Noyo Center regularly hosts science talks, beach clean-ups, and summer camps, in addition to regularly updating its beautifully curated exhibits. At this marine science center, guests can learn about the startling collapse of the local kelp ecosystem and the efforts being made to restore the habitat. Additionally, the center has exhibits of the largest killer whale skeleton in the world, a display of sea lion skulls, an Alaskan walrus skull, and a popular Ocean Immersion Dome which allows visitors to dive underwater and see ocean life in 360 degrees without ever having to get wet.
