Review:
There is a saying that it takes a whole village to enrich a village. Main Street Murals is proof of this adage as it all started as a dream to revitalize Barstow’s Main Street and educate locals and visitors alike about the history and wonders of the region and the Mojave Desert.
Main Street Murals is now one of the most popular attractions in the city, with numerous tours conducted to educate and entertain those who join. Many local and nationally recognized artists contributed to the murals with works by Lee Jackson, Kathy Fierro, and David Brockhurst. There are also murals painted by grade school kids and art classes among other groups. In total, there are 26 murals to see along this iconic stretch of Main Street.
