San Jose is is the United States’ 10th most-populous city, anchoring the Silicon Valley technological region within the San Francisco Bay Area.

The city is one of the world’s most affluent regions and is known as a global center for innovation and economics, home to international headquarters for corporations such as PayPal, Adobe Systems, and Samsung. The San Jose Museum of Art serves as one of the country’s premiere modern art museums, while its annual Cinequest Film Festival has become one of the nation’s top independent film festivals. The SAP Center at San Jose is also one of the most active event venues in the world, hosting a wide variety of concerts and sporting events, including San Jose Sharks hockey games.
