Review:

Hot Water Beach sits along the coast of Coromandel Peninsula on its eastern side. This New Zealand beach offers visitors a unique combination beach and hot springs experience. Visitors will want to get to the beach an hour before low tide (tide schedules are on their website) for the best experience. Hot Water Beach Store rents spades to take to the beach and dig a personal spa.

Staying in the window of two hours before low tide and two hours after will provide plenty of ‘spa’ time. The two hot springs at the beach issue forth hot water from geothermal springs at a temperature of 147F, so visitors will want to use caution building their personal pools.
