Nagoya is the capital city of the Aichi Prefecture and the fourth most populated city in the country with more than 2 million people living there.
The city was first developed as a castle town during the Edo Period and was one of the three branches belonging to the Tokugawa Family. Many historic buildings were demolished in World War II bombings; however, visitors can still visit the reconstruction of the Nagoya Castle. Other attractions in Nagoya include the Railway Museum, Nagashima Resort Park, Tokugawa Art Museum, and the Toyota Headquarters.
