Montgomery is Alabama’s capital and one of the most significant sites in The Civil Rights Movement. Home to the Montgomery Bus Boycotts, Montgomery was where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once preached, and where the Selma to Montgomery Marches ended.

Montgomery is now a thriving metropolitan city and is home to Maxwell Air Force Base and several public and private colleges.

Visitors to Montgomery can visit the vibrant downtown for local shopping and dining, attend a sporting event or performing arts program, or visit one of the dozens of popular attractions and landmarks including the Civil Rights Memorial Center, First White House of the Confederacy and the Dexter Parsonage Museum.
