Located in northeastern Alabama, close to the town of Huntsville, the Monte Sano State Park is known for fresh air and beautiful outlooks and a wonderful variety of healthy outdoor activities. In addition to the Monte Sano Lodge (11 rustic cabins) there is a large serviced campground and rustic stone self-catering cabins. People come to Monte Sano primarily to explore over 22 miles of hiking and mountain-biking trails, but there is also a large children’s playground and an 18-hole disc golf course. Monte Sano State Park is just 15 minutes from Huntsville (6.9 miles via US-431 S/Governors Dr SE and Monte Sano Blvd SE).
