Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:
Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park is a state park in southeastern Jefferson County that is named for its primary feature – the namesake limestone caverns. Montana's first and best-known state park was established to showcase the spectacular limestone caverns, which are naturally air-conditioned and lined with massive columns, helictites, stalactites, and stalagmites.
The park is also home to a new visitor’s center with an amphitheater, a large campground with overnight cabins, a tipi, and showers that are open year-round, picnic areas, and several hiking trails. Amenities and services in the park include mountain biking, fishing, guided and self-guided interpretive nature walks, bird and wildlife watching.
