Founded in the 1960’s by Anderl Molterer, Eric Sailer, and Pepi Gramshammer as a summer training ground for Alpine Ski Racing, Beartooth Basin is one of the oldest alpine ski training areas in North America. The ski area includes big air features, as well as some mini-jump features and rails. The Twin Lakes Headwall Terrain offers approximately six hundred acres of ski terrain and is serviced by two high-speed lifts. The surrounding area provides 3,000 vertical feet of hike-in backcountry or shuttled skiing. Beartooth Basin also offers big mountain skiing and freestyle camps and ski racing for groups and teams.
