Nestled in the heart of uptown, MKEing Coffee - Sharehouse Cafe was started when two neighbors got together and started talking: two things their neighborhood lacked were local jobs and a good cafe. So began MKEing Coffee, whose slogan is "Good Coffee For A Good City." Trained to sell Stone Creek's legendary coffee, MKEing Coffee not only builds jobs, but their profits go to creating work for high school students, the ex-incarcerated, and other job-inhibited citizens. On top of stellar coffee, books and games to give guests a place to rest their feet, they also offer a Neighbor Discount to locals who stop in to visit and share the space with Sharehouse Goods, a shop in the back that collects old books and media for resale.
