Review:
Modern West Fine Art showcases the best of Salt Lake City's contemporary art scene, staging thought-provoking, relevant exhibitions throughout the year at its 7th West gallery space. The gallery, which is cultivated by Diane Stewart, strives to reframe visitors' understanding of the American West and shine new perspective on modern and historical works produced by Western artists. Artists represented regularly include Fidalis Buehler, Petecia Le Fawnhawk, Shalee Cooper, Shonto Begay, and Frank Buffalo Hyde. Guests artists are also frequently highlighted in group shows and exhibitions, which expand beyond traditional curatorial limitations to bring the culture of the "New West" alive.
