The North Alabama Railroad Museum was established to preserve the fascinating story of the railroad and the vital part it played in Alabama’s history.

The museum was established around the original Chase Depot building, which is one of the smallest union depots in the country.

The museum is run by an enthusiastic team of volunteers and is not always manned – visitors are welcome to pick up a map and enjoy a self-guided tour of the premises.

If you would like to enjoy a ride on one of the vintage trains you will need to visit on one of the scheduled Train Ride days.
