The Fairfield Place has the distinction of being the first Bed and Breakfast in Shreveport, built around 1870. The courtyards and patios create a relaxing atmosphere while the rooms still offer modern amenitie such as Wi-Fi, private baths, and cable TV. There are a total of seven rooms at The Fairfield Place, each with unique furnishings and a relaxing atmosphere. All rooms can sleep two guests and some have features such as a separate entrance, claw foot tub and shower, bidet, original hardwood floors, a fireplace, or a two-person spa tub.

The building has a New Orleans-style patio to relax and enjoy the weather. A full breakfast is included, featuring orange juice, tea or coffee, French toast or eggs, cold or hot cereal, fresh fruit, sausage or bacon, and fresh biscuits or croissants. Wine is complimentary.
