Nature lovers and garden enthusiasts should definitely include a visit to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in their New York itinerary. The massive garden covers 52 acres, providing locals with a wonderful green lung within the concrete jungle of New York City.
You would need an entire day to see the whole garden, but fortunately there are some suggested itineraries for those who only have a few hours at their disposal.
The garden is divided into several themed gardens including the beautiful Cherry Esplanade, the Japanese Hill and Pond Garden, the Discovery Garden and the Shakespeare Garden.
In addition, there are 6 conservatories and several plant collections to discover.
