Discovered in 1878, the Luray Caverns is the largest and most impressive show cave in the Eastern United States.

The rooms boast ceilings as high as ten stories, and they're full of wondrous rock formations like flowstones, towering columns, and an enormous natural organ that can be tapped to create musical sounds. A special machine plays a song on the organ during every tour. The 1.25-mile-long walkway is completely paved and step-free, and guided tours leave every 20 minutes and take approximately one hour. The admission fee also gives guests access to three small museums, including the kid-friendly Toy Town Junction.
