Two Tannery Road is housed inside of a rather authentically old building and has its own unique history to match its charm. The building was relocated piece-by-piece from Marlboro in Massachusetts to Dover during the 1700’s and is the town’s oldest frame building. The building was later purchased by the son of President Theodore and his wife during the early 1900’s. President Theodore Roosevelt was known for visiting Two Tannery Road himself on a number of occasions. The famous antique bar at the Two Tannery Road tavern is a part of New York City’s original Waldorf-Astoria.
