Review:
Located in the Puno and Madre de Dios regions of Peru, Tambopata National Park was established as a national reserve in 1990. This natural gem is home to thousands of types of bird species, butterflies, plants, fish, reptiles, and mammals. Tambopata also contains signs of human settlement that date back thousands of years. Direct descendants of the Esa, Eja, and Puquirieri people still live in and around this rainforest. Easy accessible from Puerto Maldonado, Tambopata National Park is a great place for experiencing Peru's eco-biodiversity. For activities, guests can visit Tres Chimbadas Lake, enjoy a jungle trek, or explore the Brazil Nut Trail.
