One of the most charming small towns in New Mexico, Silver City has a population of just over 10,000 people. Despite its small size, the city offers a vibrant downtown core with more than a dozen restaurants to eat at as well as an excellent selection of local art galleries and studios.

There are also several history museums, golf courses, and wineries in and around the town, but most visitors also make time to get out of the city and explore the nearby Gila National Forest, which offers opportunities to camp, hike, and explore fascinating ancient cave dwellings. Silver City Map
