Thousands of airports have been constructed all around the world. Both small and large in size and scope, these airports all have the same purpose: to connect people via air travel. Whether you're hopping on a jumbo jet to visit the other side of the world or simply catching a short-haul flight to a neighboring state, air travel is helping bring people together. Each airport has its own name, but names are subject to change over time. So, in order to permanently identify airports in a quick and easy way, they're all also given three letter airport codes.
