Bending Branch Winery was originally founded in 2009 by Brenda and Robert Young and their daughter Allison.

The winery is known throughout Texas for its unique Next World winemaking process, which blends Old World wine techniques with innovative new cryo-maceration and thermoflash fermentation techniques. Wines produced year-round include the winery's signature Tannat varietal, along with award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Sirah, Sagrantino, and Charbono blends.

The winery's tasting room has been voted as one of America's top tasting rooms by USA Today, offering tastings of five samples of the winery's current vintage wines. One-hour tours provide inside glimpses at the winery's production methods and unique winemaking techniques. Throughout the year, guests can also attend potlucks, pairing dinners, and live music concerts.
