Operated by the Baylor University Art Department, the Martin Museum of Art offers a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions designed to complement the department's classes on art history and studio art. The museum's permanent collection boasts roughly 1,300 pieces of artwork that have been donated to or purchased by the university, and the museum is also proud to present work by internationally recognized artists. Admission is free, and the museum is open 7 days a week when classes are in session as well as when special events take place in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center and during performances held in the university theater.
