The SkyWheel opened in 2011 and uses gondolas for the flights, each of which lasts three revolutions, or about eight to ten minutes. Two to six people are allowed to ride in each gondola.

The SkyWheel also offers a VIP flight, a first class experience where up to four people ride in a special gondola with glass floors and leather seats, and receive a bottle of water and a souvenir bag. The SkyWheel offers special rates for groups of 15 people or more.
