Coava Coffee Roasters is a hip Portland-made java joint with an industrial, workday vibe. Serious coffee aficionados will love this spot, not only for the Chemex pots on the counter or the single-origin menu at the bar but also for the fact that Coava has produced its metal filter, which can be purchased at the store. The coffee menu boasts all kinds of java from standard americanos and cappuccinos to smooth nitro brews, and other specialty espresso drinks, along with freshly baked pastries from local bakery, Little T. Coava Coffee Roasters has four locations around the city with open seating and modern, Portland décor and are open for breakfast and lunch, daily.

is a North Williams café and coffee shop by day and buzzing cocktail bar by night. The hip spot features deep-green walls, plush pearl-colored booths, and a bar made of wood reclaimed wood behind which a La Marzocco machine produces aromatic espresso-based coffee drinks. The all-day café offers an extensive coffee and cocktail program with fun options like coffee-based mocktails and espresso flights, and a range of organic and natural wines, along with a menu of Asian-inspired fare like Taiwanese-style pork belly and classic American bar food like burgers and nachos. When the sun goes down, the casual café turns into a swanky cocktail bar complete with traditional and eclectic cocktails and a DJ spinning decks in the corner. Either/Or is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Sunday.

Founded in 2004 by Brazilian native Augusto Carneiro, Nossa Familia Coffee is a Portland, Oregon-based roaster that focuses on serving exceptional coffee sustainably sourced from family coffee farms in Brazil, as well as from other coffee-growing regions of the world like Kenya, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Peru. Nossa Familia Coffee has three locations around the city, the Guatemala Café, which features Guatemalan-inspired décor, hand-painted coffee mugs, and colorful textiles; the Brazil Café, which is styled after the white-and-bright-blue terracotta farmhouses found in Brazil; and the Cloudforest Espresso Bar. The CalEdison Espresso Bar in Los Angeles is the roaster’s first location outside of Portland, and all stores are open for breakfast and lunch, daily.

Prince Coffee is a small coffee company and Dutch-inspired specialty coffee shop in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland that is renowned for its delicious Dutch stroopwafels, which are served fresh every day. Based within a custom upholstery store, the buzzy multi-roaster coffee shop serves rotating roasts from Coava and Proud Mary in a variety of styles from frothy lattes, double-shot espressos to foamy cappuccinos, magical macchiatos, and chic cafe au laits. Dutch stroopwafels are the order of the day, and the thin, cookie-like pastries sandwiching a layer of caramel take customers into the heart of Holland. Some of the coffee shop locations will serve other breakfast and lunch options, and the coffee shop is open for breakfast and lunch daily.

was the first roastery in the Central Oregon area.
