Bar Bar is home to some of the tastiest burgers in Portland. It has been delivering the goods since 2010 from its prime location in Mississippi Studios, a music venue in the heart of the Historic District.

The music hall features over 500 shows every year, covering various genres from local to international acts, including DJs, bands, and comedians. At Bar Bar, diners can chow down on creative burgers like the Sweet Home Avocado or The Angry Rhino before or after a show. Portland's Canyon Grill is a family-owned and operated restaurant established in 2008. They attribute much of their success to their dedication to both their customers and the neighborhood. They are equally committed to using only the freshest ingredients, including Tillamook cheese and Painted Hills beef.

Deschutes Brewery is a mainstay of the Northwest-style craft brew scene, and they bring their distinct brews and pub food to Portland's urban ambiance. The brewery boasts more than 25 permanent Deschutes brews as well as a variety of seasonal and experimental beers brewed and served only at the Portland location.

Guests can pair craft beers with pub food created by Executive Chef Jill Ramseier and her team, made with only locally sourced ingredients. The pub menu includes gourmet burgers like the Elk Burger with shallot-thyme aioli and the Yellow Belly Burger with root beer-braised pork belly on a beef patty with jalapeno pesto, goat cheese, and candied yellow tomatoes.

4. Killer Burger

Locally owned and operated, Killer Burger in downtown Portland is one of three locations in the city. Their mission has been to "create the burgers they've always wanted to exist." The menu is as simple and stylish as the restaurant's industrial-themed ambiance; it features burgers, fries, sodas, and brews with a revival of the traditional burger.

Each burger is 1/3 pound 100% beef and includes bacon and french fries, but that's all they have in common. Here, guests can stretch their taste buds with unique creations like the Peanut-Butter-Pickle-Bacon, a burger topped with peanut butter sauce, smoky house sauce, bacon, mayo, grilled onion, and pickle.

5. Lardo

Starting from humble beginnings, Lardo first tantalized taste buds as a food cart in southeast Portland, but has since grown into a two-restaurant empire that serves customers on both sides of the river. This aptly named hot spot pays homage to all things swine and bovine, creating masterpieces with Old World techniques and contemporary flair.

6. Little Big Burger

There are seven Little Big Burger restaurants in Portland and one in Eugene. They have a small menu that literally sticks with the meat and potatoes of a burger joint. Guests will find a select menu of burgers, fries, sodas, floats, and craft beers.

Every burger is made with ¼ pound of Cascade Natural Beef served medium, sandwiched between golden, flaky brioche buns, and topped with local cheeses and fresh veggies. Everything is fresh and made to order, including their delicious truffle fries made with white truffle oil and a dash of salt and served up with Camden's catsup.
