Pymatuning State Park is a 3,512-acre park near Andover, Ohio. Its main attraction is Pymatuning Lake, a popular destination for fishing and boating. The lake was created in the 1930s as a result of the construction of a dam on the Shenango River. The lake has several sandy beaches and camping areas. The northeastern part of Pymatuning Lake is a protected area where about 20,000 Canada geese and many ducks overwinter every year. There is a three-mile long causeway that stretches through the center of the lake between Pennsylvania and Ohio. The lake is home to plenty of walleye and muskellunge, attracting eager fishermen.
