The Benmarl Winery is a 37-acre beautiful vineyard estate that overlooks the Hudson River. Visitors can sample wines, enjoy a glass of wine on the winery’s deck, and just relax as they take in the surrounding scenery. Benmarl Winery is also known for being a dog-friendly and family-friendly place. Wine tastings consists of a selection of six different wines, and wine varieties produced at Benmarl include Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Malbec, Petite Verdot, Pinot Noir, range of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Traminette, and reserve wines. The wood-fired pizza oven is fired up during warmer months.

2. Bedell Cellars

Bedell Cellars is a family-owned critically acclaimed winery established in 1980 in North Fork of Long Island, New York, in the Long Island wine growing region. Committed to sustainable farming, Bedell Cellars hand-craft their wines in small batches using unique methods that define the style of their wines. The wines are made from grapes that are sustainably grown on their three vineyards covering 75 acres. Some of the grapevines are the oldest in the country. 3. Brotherhood Winery

The Brotherhood Winery is a good winery for wine-loving history buffs, featuring underground wine cellars carved out by hand and put in use during the country’s Prohibition Era at the oldest winery in the United States. Visitors can hear tales of the past that took place in the cellars as they sip wine made in the two hundred oak barrels. Three different options for wine tastings are available at the Brotherhood Winery on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tours of the winery are offered four different times on Fridays, and as groups gather on Saturdays and Sundays.

The more than 120-acre Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery is a popular hotspot during the fall season, when guests come to taste delicious wines and have a meal at the Pane Cafe. Along with the selection of wines, Warwick Valley also created award-winning fruit brandy and liqueur, with the pear flavor being the most popular. It also produces Doc’s Cider, the original award-winning cider of New York. During warmer weather, two outdoor patios are opened for dining, sipping wine, and relaxing. Live music is brought indoors and the wood burning stoves are fired up during the colder months.

The Johnson Estate Winery is the state of New York’s oldest estate winery in continuous operation. The historic tasting room at the winery is open every day for wine tastings of its unique selection of award-winning European-style and American-style wines. Johnson Estate Winery is open daily from 10:am until 6:00pm March through December, and on Fridays and Saturdays in January and February. It is open from 10:00am until 5:00pm Sunday through Thursday during the months of January and February. The winery is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The vineyards encompass eighty acres and feature fourteen different varieties of grapes, offering a wine to suit any palate. Lakewood Vineyards offers Signature Tastings and Cellar Room Tastings. The Signature Tasting includes a choice of flights of sweet and semi-sweet or semi-dry and dry wines in the setting of a beautiful tasting room. The Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars is located in the Finger Lakes wine country of the state of New York. The winery is open throughout the entire year for wine tastings and no reservation is needed. Dogs are allowed at Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars as long as they are leashed and behave around other dogs and people. The tasting room is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00am until 5:00pm and on Sundays from 12:00pm until 5:00pm. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter. Standard tastings include six estate wines.

10. Magnanini Winery, Restaurant & Distillery

The Tasting Room at the Magnanini Winery, Restaurant & Distillery is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Eight types of grapes are grown, harvested, and made into wines on-site at the Magnanini Winery and can be bought only in the tasting room. Grape varieties include Cabernet Franc, Marquette, Vincent, Chelois, Niagara, Dechaunac, and Seyval Blanc. In addition to wine tastings, visitors can stop at the winery to try hand-crafted food from the kitchen of just enjoy a glass of one of the Magnanini wines. The Antipasto offers at Magnanini is homemade on-site. The restaurant is open on the weekends.
