Hunter’s Point South Park forms part of a revitalization program to transform a previously abandoned site in the New York Borough of Queens. The first phase of the park opening in 2013, providing a central green, a waterfront promenade, a playground and a central pavilion which houses restrooms, concessions and a café. Wetlands were included in the second phase which opened in 2018, as well as a viewing platform which offers unsurpassed views of the iconic Manhattan skyline. Visitors can enjoy the adult fitness equipment, the Dog Run, picnic terraces and a basketball court. Two permanent public art installations form integral and aesthetically-pleasing focal points in the park.
