The Tongue Mountain Range Trails are located in the Tongue Mountain Range, within the Adirondack Mountains of New York. The network of trails is 25 miles long and the trails vary from easy strolls along the shore of Lake George, to more strenuous ascents of mountain peaks. The Tongue Mountain Range has six summits along the ridge. Five Mile Mountain is the highest point in Town of Bolton. There are plenty of lean-to’s for overnight camping at Fifth Peak and Brown Mountain. The trail runs through wooded and open rocky areas. Other trails run from Clay Meadow to the southern half of the range. The views are spectacular in all direction and hikers can see the Adirondacks, Lake Champlain, and the Vermont Green Mountains. The area is a protected wildlife preserve.
