Gorgeous Kaaterskill Falls are located in the Hudson Valley near Hunter, NY. The waterfall is a part of the lower trailhead that stretches along the valley where many people from all over come to walk, hike, run, and bike. The path is paved and provides a good amount of shade for the hotter months. The waterfall is just over 260 ft. tall and cascades down over two sections of rock. The water that flows down is Spruce Creek, which hugs the entire trail and travels with you downhill into the valley. On the same trail, just a bit further is Bastion Falls, which is a multi-level waterfall about 120 ft. tall. The Kaaterskill Falls is about an hour and 15-minute drive from Albany.
