Fuquay-Varina was originally a resort town centered about the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park, which attracted many visitors to come and experience the legendary healing powers of the water. Today you can still visit the park to take a pleasant walk, have a picnic or have a sip of the spring water. The town has several historic sites and buildings which you can visit at the Fuquay-Varina Museum Complex and on a walking tour of the historic district. During the summer months children can have loads of fun at the South Park Splash Pad. When you have worked up a thirst you can head to a couple of the town’s craft breweries or make your way to the Stick Boy Bread Company for the best cup of coffee in town.
