Review:
Located a few miles west of Chanhassen in Minnesota, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is an arboretum and horticultural garden that forms part of the Department of Horticultural Science in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota. Open to the public year-round, the 1,137-acre garden features a variety of annual and perennial display gardens, demonstration gardens, gardens with plants developed explicitly for northern climates, a beautiful Japanese garden and tracts of natural areas with prairies, marshes, and woodlands. The Arboretum also features exceptional collections of wildflowers, dahlias, hostas, clematis, and ornamental grasses, along with a conservatory, a horticultural research library, and miles of hiking trails.
