Review:

Founded in 1885 as the city’s first public library, the Minneapolis Central Library is located in downtown Minneapolis and boasts the most significant children’s section in the upper Midwest and an acclaimed comic book collection. The library is home to the Pohlad Hall Theater, which features a variety of educational programs for children once a month, including animated shorts, live entertainment, free books, readings, and snacks and beverages.

In addition to a fantastic children’s section, the library also houses the most extensive collection of items in the Hennepin County Library system, and facilities include an adaptive technology lab, the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, Cargill Hall, a piano room, meeting rooms, and an excellent languages section. There is also a coffee shop in the library for refreshments.
