Review:

Part of the National Seashore, Head of the Meadows is a popular North Truro beach with a wide expanse of fine sand that is always full of people enjoying watersports, swimming, or relaxing in the sand. The beach is very picturesque, with large dunes that tower over the shore and long sandbars in the water, making it shallow and perfect for kids. There is always something going on, whether that be a game of volleyball or surfers flying over waves. It is perfect for family picnics or for looking for shipwrecks during low tide – there are more than 1,000 on this stretch of the coast. You can also bring your bike and hit the two-mile long Head of the Meadow Trail that runs past the Salt Meadow marshland. Pets

are welcome at Head of the Meadows before 9am and after 6pm in summer or the whole day long in the off-season but have to be on a leash.
